These luxurious lodges are part of a small group of just 4 properties, situated overlooking a large coarse fishing lake (stocked with bream, perch, roach, rudd, tench and carp) on the owners’ smallholding, within a quiet 65 acre site, on the edge of the Somerset village of Hewish. Just fifteen minutes’ drive from Weston-super-Mare, these superb lodges are an ideal base for exploring Somerset and the lovely beaches in this area. Set within an idyllic rural location, with amazing views of the lake and surrounding countryside, guests may want to relax and enjoy fishing, or simply admire the south-facing views towards the Mendip Hills. These wonderful lodges are almost identical inside, boasting an open plan living area and three bedrooms, including one with en-suite facilities, with the other two sharing a bathroom. Outside, the delightful lodges have a decked veranda, where you may wish to relax with a refreshing drink, or venture down to the edge of the lake and enjoy a spot of carp fishing.

Those guests not taking advantage of the fishing may like to stroll along the country lanes leading from the farm, where homemade organic apple juice and preserves are also made, to visit Puxton Park Adventure Park, which has been awarded the Quality Rose Marque or Thatchers Cider farm which boasts a luxurious restaurant and cider shop. Just over six miles away is the traditional seaside town of Weston-super-Mare which has something for everyone. Miles of sandy beaches, the completely rebuilt Grand Pier and plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes, together with the Weston Wheel (March- September), Pirate Adventureland and crazy golf; who could ask for more from a truly memorable holiday?
