For all of your local amenities, the nearby village of Chirbury offers a modest selection of shops and eateries, or for even more excitement, venture into Bishop’s Castle where you will be greeted by historical wonder in the form of listed timber framed buildings, quaint shops and a “House on Crutches”. Walkers can delight in venturing along the Offa’s Dyke Path for some wonderful walking along the Welsh/English border, while heading over the border and into Wales can bring you to the large Norman ruins of Montgomery Castle, the National Trust’s Powis Castle and Garden and the wonderful Welshpool & Llanfair Railway.
